About Me

Hi, my name is Mili, and welcome to my world of events. I’ve been working toward bringing my first concert to life since 2010, and along the way I’ve had the opportunity to be part of so many different types of events. I’ve supported closed-door sporting events, conferences, award nights, and of course, the concerts and festivals that originally sparked my passion.

Driven by passion

My journey into events began almost by accident. In my second year of university, everyone around me seemed to have their career mapped out, while I was still figuring out what direction I wanted to take. I’d always loved music and even though I can’t sing, I grew up learning how to play classical Indian music on the keyboard which meant I spent my childhood on stages at community and cultural events. Slowly, the pieces started to fit together. I realised I wanted a career in events, specifically mainstream concerts. As I grew older, that dream evolved into wanting to design my own festival, build the lineup, and put an entire show on the road.

My full-time events career began in 2015 after early experience in marketing and organising small networking events while championing KiwiCast on the side. Since then, I’ve sourced venues, organised logistics, delivered events on site, produced conference agendas with high-calibre speakers, that sold out those conferences.

I’ve run events across Australia, Singapore, and New Zealand, and I’ve sourced venues in Canada, Europe, and Asia. No two events have ever been the same, and that’s what makes this journey so meaningful to me.

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to stay calm under pressure while finding a solution. Events are naturally high-pressure environments, and unexpected issues are part of the job. But I believe the perfect event isn’t one where nothing goes wrong — it’s one where your delegates, speakers, patrons, or guests have an incredible experience without ever sensing the challenges happening behind the scenes.
